Philadelphia Area To Have Increased Dui Patrols Over The Holidays

With the holiday season upon us, many of our Philadelphia readers are probably looking forward to visiting with friends and family at parties and get-togethers. This always seems to be the time of year when most people – if their shopping is done – are ready to relax and catch up with those people who are most important in their lives. However, it also seems to be the time of year when many people unexpectedly find themselves looking for a Philadelphia DUI attorney as well.

For many of our readers, attending parties and family gatherings is a great time for fun, but that fun may also sometimes include alcohol. Any drunk driving defense attorney would probably tell our readers that the authorities know about this mix of fun and alcohol all too well, and many police agencies prepare for months to step up DUI enforcement during the holiday season.

In nearby Montgomery County, for instance, the leaders of a variety of policing agencies, including the State Police, recently gathered on the footsteps of the county courthouse to bring light to the fact that drunk driving can have a huge impact on many lives during the holiday season – especially when car accidents are the result.

With both federal and state funds being designated year after year specifically for DUI enforcement and education during the holiday season, our readers should take note that driving while impaired can be a riskier choice than usually this time of year. Any type of arrest has the potential for drastically negative consequences on a person’s life, but a DUI arrest can be particularly hard to defend against. When it comes to celebrating the holidays, our readers are sure to have fun, but hopefully designated drivers are along for the ride.
